Do you sometimes feel like your daily activity is encroaching into your business of blogging?
About a year ago, I created my first free 87 page ebook that has been downloaded over 10,000 times. The irony of it is that I compiled and wrote that ebook on a mobile phone.
Lately, it seems like I have too much to do along with blogging and wonder how I can handle all of it. A week ago, I received a one-year old reminded on my phone that read, “Complete ebook today”. I actually set a deadline to complete that ebook and didn’t turn it off. So it came back reminding me to go complete that ebook.
I remember, I didn’t meet the deadline. It took two extra day, but had I not given myself a deadline, it would have taken longer. Or I might have ended up not completing it.
Receiving that reminder a week ago reminded me of how better I can get, especially now that I have more daily tasks to accomplish. I’ve been wondering how I could handle every of my daily activity and some of which I’m yet to enroll into, including my blog but receiving that message, reminded me of how I once handle something that is even more tedious, “creating an ebook on a mobile phone”.
This makes me feel like I’ve forgotten how much I could handle. I can handle my everyday activity, my blogs and more, if I want to.
I had quite a small start with blogging and making money online. I had no PC, no steady Job (I decided not to), just hustling for pocket-money and was blogging and constantly reading at the same time.
My phone was like all I had. I kept blogging anyway. So if I could succeed in building a blog to pay my monthly bills and totally keep away from being employed, with a phone, I must have really forgotten how much I can handle to think of my current schedule as tasking.
Stretch Your Blogging Power
Is blogging feeling like too much work of late? If you haven’t done something stretchy on your blog, maybe it’s time to give yourself a push and blog like you’ve never done before. Stretch your blogging power. It’s a good thing to stretch ourselves beyond limit and achieve what we want, and then constantly remind ourselves of the difficulty we once overcame.
This will help rate even more tedious tasks as just another surmount-able mountain. It’s like a change of thoughts from “it’s too much to handle” to “I’ve done it before, I can do it again”.
Has it once felt like the work is getting too much to handle? How do you re-energize?

I just loved the way you end the article with
“It’s like a change of thoughts from “it’s too much to handle” to “I’ve done it before, I can do it again”
Great , Keep it up

gr8 content on how to improve blogging power. You right – we must set a goal. If we have a goal, we’ll try to achieve it. An aimless can do nothing in life. It is similar to blogging also -:)
Ikenna Odinaka says
Exactly Ahsan. It seems like nothing tangible can be achieved without setting goals.
Thanks for coming by to drop your comment.. -;)

You can actually apply your theme from “stretch your blog power” to “stretch your life power” This principle applies to just about everything in life. I give you a lot of credit Iyke. You didn’t let the fact that you didn’t have a computer stop you for what you wanted to do. Other people might have used that as an excuse but you “stretched yourself” Kudos to you!

Thanks for your suggestion Diana. You’re right, it “applies to just about everything in life”. I seem to have concentrated more of it on blogging. I’ll work more on choosing my title next time..
Thanks for your kind words and adding your wisdom to my blog.

I love your site. I would love to know how you created your ebook that you give out free? I am an avid reader and blogger. I want to create an ebook got my idea might need advice?
Ikenna Odinaka says
Hi Jackie,
The free ebook is an assembly of sources of Financial aid for African students, how to find more and how to apply for better chances of winning. It’s a mix of research and personal recommendations based on the topic (which falls within the topic of the blog in question).
Though I created it when my blog was getting a little over 200 pageviews and less than 500 subscribers, it helped my blog grow significantly to several thousand subscribers and daily pageviews without further intense blog promotion. I didn’t request for email subscription for readers to download. Anyone can work into my blog, click, download and walk. I think it was actually the best thing I did (to give it without requiring opt in).
Here is the link to the last review I wrote about it.

Wow Ikenna, you created your eBook from your mobile phone – that was quite stretchy but it was rewarding from the over 10k downloads you got.
Ikenna Odinaka says
Yea Stella!
It was stretchy (no picnic).. But I’m glad I did. It actually did almost all the promotion for my blog..

Hi Adeniyi,
Am amazed to hear your story which is so similar to mine. Coming from such a challenging start to where you are now, I don’t see anything worthy of stopping you. I can relate to that.. It’s great to hear how much you have accomplished so far.
Like you rightly pointed out, “It’s all about doing normal things in a different way” and not letting whatever circumstances stand in the way of getting what you want. We sure have similar stories to tell..
thanks a lot for sharing…
